• The viewer should be able to determine the holiday that the object is related to.
• The subject can be a tree, plant, ornament, decoration, flag, symbol, etc.

• The shape(s) can be actual or implied.
• The subject cannot be a work of art (statue, monument, sculpture, painting, mural, etc.).

• Must be taken between February 23 and April 13.

• The image can be of any subject.
• The image must be a black & white, sepia, or toned.

• The image can be of any subject.
• A single subject must fill the frame of the image.

June 8 Print
Complimentary Colors
(Due 5/25)

• The image can be of any subject.
• The image must use complimentary colors (opposite on the color wheel) that are dominant in the image.                                                

• The subject is an animal that resides in your neighborhood.
• The animal can be a dog, cat, critter, bird, orangutan, reptile, insect. etc.

• The image must show a sports activity in action.
• The subject can be a person (player) or an object (ball, racket, etc.)
• The image should show motion during a sports-related activity.
• The image should not be taken before start or after end of sport event.

• The image can be of any subject
• The image can be color or monochrome.
• The image must be taken within the last 12 months (July, 2021).

• The image can be of any scene or object as long as the image has water as the main subject.
• The image cannot be an ocean, lake, river, or pond.

• The image must show an object or objects related to an environmental problem or issue (e.g., trash, plastic waste, water or air pollution, roadside litter).
• This is a photojournalism assignment (cropping is allowed but no adding or removing of items in post-processing).

• The quote will be selected at the July digital competition meeting.

Fire & Ice
(Due 10/12)

• The subject must be a posed image of a stranger.
• The image should not be a family member or friend.
• The image must be shot with natural light.
• The image should convey the person's life story, occupation, or passion).

• The image must have a subject that is related to fire and/or ice.
• Fire and/or ice must be included in the image.

• The image must be of an urban street scene.
• The image can be a day or night shot.
• The image may have people in it but does not have to.

• The subject must be a landscape that includes an object or objects put there by man (building, wall, fence, paved road, bridge, etc.)

• The subject must be any inanimate object illuminated by artificial light.

• The image can be of any subject.
• The image must be taken in 2022.
