Member Recognition January – February, 2022 Part I
Congratulations to Alane Shoemaker on a great streak of finalists and winners with Nikonians. Alane was a finalist for the November competitions in Wildlife Black and White, Digital Artistry, and Travel Competitions. Her “Angry Bear” won the Wildlife competition and “The Most Famous Opera House in the World” won the Digital Artistry Category!
Congratulations to Rick Lingo on several recent accomplishments. Two shots, "Sunset on the Savannah" (taken in Tanzania in 2016), and "Evening in Oslo" (taken in 2020), were awarded Selection of Excellence by the Universe of Colour Photography. They are both eligible for the top monthly award chosen from among over 40,000 submissions each month to the website.
Rick’s work, "Autumn Leaves," was a Competition Winner in the ALL Color Art Competition at the Contemporary Art Gallery Online located in Middletown, Delaware. The shot was taken in Norway at the Oslo Botanical Garden. This image was also featured in UCP International Photo Magazine on page 102. Rick also had two works, "Norwegian Backroad," and "Sjoholt Boathouses," named Winners of the Month at the photography website The Universe of Colour Photography. They were selected from over 40,000 submissions.
